Almost. Really it’s 22kt that Arman Sarkisyan is working in. Starting at the age of 12, Arman apprenticed under one of the best, his father, a master jeweler in Armenia and Russia for 53 years. He learned techniques rarely seen in jewelry design today. Using hand engraving, Arman is able to achieve a level of intricacy that is unmatched by the cookie cutter, mass produced jewelry we see so much of today.
Arman approaches jewelry as wearable art. Which in effect, is what it should be. His hand crafting allows him to meld old world techniques with a modern aesthetic. Launched in 2004, every piece is meticulously hand-crafted in his studio in LA, side by side with his father to this day. He creates everything from one-of-a kind couture pieces, to jewelry for every day wear.
They truly are modern heirlooms.
This week, for the first time, Arman’s jewelry is available in the Hamptons at Mayfair. Here’s a sneak peek at some exclusive pieces. And if you’re looking for something special, he’s always willing to work with you on something bespoke.
