They say if you hold onto something long enough, it will inevitably come back in style. And no decade can hold a candle to the 70’s on this front. From fringe to boho, platforms to ankle boots, it’s the era that keeps on giving. Lucky for me, my mom held onto a trunk of favorites, and now I have the joy of recycling and remixing her vintage pieces with mine. If you weren’t fortunate enough to inherit a treasure chest like mine, there are plenty of modern day plays on the classics.
One trend we’re seeing a lot of this season is crochet. Its morphed from being simply a Missoni staple, (and what Grandma does in front of Jeopardy), to being widely available across the market. Here are a few of my favorite pieces. Dress them up with gold jewelry and heels, or take the casual route with a t-shirt and sandals. Most importantly, own it, and have fun.
