Almond Extract

Entertaining this weekend?  Almond co-owners Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner make it easy to do.  New to town this season, their L&W Market in Bridgehampton, allows you to come in and find everything you need for the perfect party in a one stop shop.

Pick up Almond classics including tuna stuffed peppers, duck confit, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, marinated octopus salad, Moroccan style lamb meatballs and more.  For breakfast, try an acai bowl, kimchi egg and rice and tortilla espagnola.  Or if you’re eating gluten now, grab a coffee and pastry, baked fresh daily, including everything from crumb cake to croissants, muffins to monkey bread but the headliner has to be the homemade pop tarts. And definitely don’t miss the sandwiches: bahn mi with ham, chicken liver pate, pickled veg, and smoked turkey with brie.  They also have the China Grill 1987 chicken salad with napa cabbage, crunchy veggies and a secret marinade.

The market also sells Almond favorites from their own line including: smoked almonds, Marilee’s asparagus, basil oil, bread & butter pickles, BBQ rub, Caesar dressing, chili oil, curry oil, harissa, Jay’s Ramps, citrus cured olives, Maldon salt, preserved lemons, mustard vinaigrette, smoked ranch dressing, pike farm tomatoes and tomatillo salsa verde. They also stock a selection of local products from farms such as Quail Hill, Amber Waves, Balsam Farms and Foster Farms as well as cheese from Art Ludlow’s Mecox Bay Dairy.
